HAHCRA is a reflection of its creator—bold, inspiring, and unapologetically unique. Founded by retired U.S. Army veteran Andrene, the HAHCRA trademark carries her spirit, experiences, and cultural roots.
Before retiring, Andrene traveled extensively to Ghana 🇬🇭 in West Africa, where she found powerful parallels with her homeland, Jamaica 🇯🇲. Though separated by oceans, both cultures share lush landscapes, rich natural resources, vibrant traditions, beautifully melanated people, and a deep love for flavorful, spicy cuisine.
During her time in Ghana, Andrene was affectionately called “Abena,” meaning born on a Tuesday. These meaningful experiences ignited a creative spark that shaped HAHCRA’s identity. The brand’s debut collection draws inspiration from Jamaican heritage and West African lineage, blending both into a dynamic cultural expression.
HAHCRA’s first design, “Afrospice,” celebrates this fusion—where heritage meets bold, modern artistry.
